Good News in Recent Months!

Its been a long time since i last updated this..haha..Well its been quite busy since i came back from kch and started my current semester, everything seems to just settled down at the moment.By the way, i have quite a couple of good news to share with my family, cousins, relatives & friends. First of all, sorry to keep you guys waiting but i gonna announced these good news together.Hehe...

First thing which i would like to announce is, i just received my statement of attainment for Cert III in hospitality(commercial cookery). Good thing is that i had successfully finished my cookery course!I am now proceeding to Cert IV in hospitality(Food & Beverages Supervision Level)Wuahaha...Bad thing is that this semester i have a lot of theory stuff which i am not so interested in, besides learning restaurant management & service. Nevertheless, i shall keep trying as this is an important part in my future career as well. =)

Statement of Attainment

This is my Award for Cert III in hospitality!Wuahaha...

First Theory Assignments
Portfolio of about 20 pages. May not be long for others, but i am not belong to the theory category, sorry!Haha..

Next, I just quit my kitchen hand job as i got a new position as a COOK in one of the riverside apartment hotel. It is called "Mounts Bay Waters Apartment Hotel". It is 4-Star resort-styles accommodation including facilities such as swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis courts and 180 rooms.Each apartment has a spacious living area, a fully-equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher, laundry facilities, reverse-cycle airconditioning and a private balcony or courtyard. There are two conference rooms available for hire. I actually attended first interview about 3 months ago and i was totally fascinated with the hotel and working environment. I have been looking forward to work in sort of Fine Dining Restaurant and that was it, i found it. Though my condition is looking good, i was actually rejected as i do not have a proper qualification in cookery yet. I was kinda down but who cares, i shall keep trying. Unexpectedly, i received a call from the management officer (Head Chef) about a month ago when i received my qualification(which is Cert III), requesting for 2nd interview. I was so glad and excited that i couldnt sleep on the night before.Haha.But of course, i did prepare well for that interview. Guess what, i actually got the job 3 weeks ago and i am now AN OFFICIAL COOK!Hehe..My first target achieved, and next target is to apply for PR over here so that i can apply for apprenticeship. As soon as 2 yrs apprenticeship are done, i am then a QUALIFIED CHEF!Feeling great even just thinking about it!

Third good news is, i just changed my nice little car recently. Well i saw a good bargain on the website 2 weeks ago and decided to consider about it after a discussion with my bro. But as i havent sell my nice little car yet, so i have to borrow some money from my bro to "zhou zhuan" 1st...haha..thanks for my bro for supporting me. But no worries, i posted an online advertisement to promote my car yesterday. My promotion seems to work as i have got few people calling me, saying that they are interested. So my booking for today and tomorrow is full at the moment as i had 3 buyers to come around to have a look.Haha...now i am driving Mitsubishi Lancer 2 door 5 seats coupe, CE GLi, Year 2000. Below are some pictures of my current car. This car cost me AUD $5000, but good still, good bargain for a Year 2000 Car. The seller actually started off with $4800, under negotiation, he agreed to service the car for me before selling, and also paid for another 6 months road tax. During servicing, the mechanic actually informed him about the old tyres and faulty front left brake pad. So end up, he spent $1100 for servicing, including a new brake pad, 4 brand new tyres, brake calipers and regular service check. He would like me to pay $5500 for the car but that's too much for me.

So i sms him the next day saying,

"I am sorry, $5500 is over my budget, my maximum budget is $5000, with the condition that you showed me the receipt of the service included the following details (mechanic details, car details, faulty conditions, things serviced & replaced, each amount cost and of course, date of serviced and total spent). If you are not agree with above condition, you may consider that i cant afford to buy your lovely car. Thank you for your time and sorry for any inconvenience".

Quite a long message, but ended up my bargain is working. Straight away he called me and agreed with the price. So we arranged the transfer a couple days later.

My bad luck, the car was actually experiencing some relay problem, causing electrical faulty and drained off my car battery. So i bought a battery charger, removed the car battery, charged overnight and put it back.By doing this, it actually cost me less to fix the problem. Then i drove to mechanic the next day. Well that cost me another $30 to buy the charger, and $70 to replace a new relay. Everything is alright with my car now and running smoothly. Feeling good when driving this car!haha..

Goodbye my nice little car!=)

Alright, got to go now, a buyer is coming soon. Till next time everyone!Good luck and take care!

Regards,
Vin
